Day 328 Crying Over Crepes

Dad's new favorite fried pastry breakfast/desert are crepes. He beats a couple of eggs, adds some melted butter, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup water, 1 cup flower, a pinch of salt, and sometimes some vanilla. He then pours this into a medium hot frying pan that's already covered in some olive oil and cooks them until they are golden brown on both sides. Then the magic happens. Dad covers them lightly with our favorite jelly or apple butter, rolls them up, and puts a little maple syrup over them. Yum. Mom and Dad made these for desert tonight. I'm crying because it's way past my bedtime.
